Trauma Rehabilitation in East Africa

Front Cover.JPG

Since 2013 Tutapona Uganda has primarily been providing trauma rehabilitation services to refugees living in the region. We currently have field offices in the nation’s southwest in Nakivale, Rwamwanja and Oruchinga refugee settlements, and in the north, in Adjumani District servicing the Pagorinya and Boroli refugee settlements.

The majority of these refugees have come from South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Burundi and Sudan, fleeing war, tribal conflict, famine and political instability.

In 2018 Tutapona signed our first official contract with UNHCR, making us Implementing Partners in the country’s south-west and solidifying our position as the leading mental health providers in the region.
