"Breaking Ground" in 2019

A new year often brings with it a new beginning, a new vision.

For Tutapona in 2019, “Breaking Ground” is just that. It’s a declaration over our year, our organization and a declaration over the lives of every person who attends our programs.

So this year, Tutapona is #BreakingGround. We are stretching out to places we’ve never been before, we are serving people we’ve never served before. We are launching new programs, new partnerships and new staff in an effort to bring new hope to the broken and weary.

Our work is often described as ‘ground breaking’, and there is data to prove it. Our participants’ lives will back up that claim. Every time someone decides to move forward from their trauma, they are stepping out into unchartered territory. Every time a refugee decides to “live again” they are breaking through the barriers of their past. Every time a community chooses peace over centuries of conflict, they are breaking down century high walls and emerging into new ground.

Breaking ground for us isn’t just a physical expansion, but it’s our heart for every participant.

To EMPOWER is to break new ground, enabling people to do what they never thought or believed was possible. To GROW is to break new ground, just as a seed must break through the surface and flourish into its purpose. Our mission is not just to bring restoration, but to walk with people on a process of healing and transformation. Transformation means change. It means something new.

Together, we are leading people to a place of new resilience, with new power to grow, to thrive and to be a light to those still in the darkness. Together, we are breaking ground.

Will YOU join us this year, in prayer and in partnership to enable us to continue to help those who are breaking ground in their lives in 2019?

“See, I am about to do a new thing! Now it springs up ; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19
