PARTNER CAPACITY BUILDING AND MHPSS MAINSTREAMING

Through our networking of local and international NGOs, UNHCR Staff, DOH Staff, Camp Management, and Community Leaders, Tutapona receives referrals to utilize our therapeutic expertise to address critical cases of individuals and communities in need of assistance.

Partner Capacity Training and MHPSS Mainstreaming programs are provided to partner organizations and government personnel such as teachers and police to improve awareness and understanding of the prevalence and implications of trauma and other mental health variables in the refugee context. Topics include Trauma Informed Care, De-escalation Techniques, Suicidal Behavior Awareness and Self-Care. These sessions support Tutapona’s goal of building capacity to address mental health concerns within the communities we serve.

Capacity building and MHPSS training is currently takes place in all locations Tutapona is operating.
