Mental Health Services in East Africa

Front Cover.JPG

Tutapona has been providing mental health services to refugees in the region since 2008. We currently have field offices in the southwest in Nakivale and Rwamwanja settlements, and in the north, in Adjumani District and Rhino Camp serving refugees from South Sudan, DR Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Burundi and Sudan, fleeing war, tribal conflict, famine and political instability.

In Uganda, we have 42 staff members running three group programs; GROW, our adult mental health programming, the Heroes Journey, our children’s curriculum, and Healthy Habits, a mental health and addictions program, as well as providing individual support, and community and partner trainings on mental health.
