A Letter From Carl Gaede, Executive Director

lately I’ve been feeling really overwhelmed....

In Iraq, in the IDP camp closest to my house there are 40,000 people who have been forced from their homes by the violence. They’ve witnessed unspeakable horror. I’ve walked through their home towns, which now lie in ruins.

Worst yet, that camp represents just a small fraction of the population of 1 million internally displaced people and refugees here in Iraq. And we’ve got 11 staff to help them.

Just 11.

Since we began this ministry eight years ago in Uganda, God has been so faithful. He has brought together an amazing, generous community of donors who have made it possible for us to provide trauma rehabilitation to over 37,000 people.

Despite the many lives we’ve seen transformed, there are still many more we can’t support simply because we can’t afford to. To turn someone away because we have no staff available is a horrible feeling. In the next year we want to reach double the amount of people–but to do this we’ll need your support.

Will you consider making a donation to help us reach more people with trauma counseling? Or come deeper on the journey with us and become a monthly supporter?

Just $60 brings this effective, life-changing program to another trauma survivor. Please click the donate button and join with us.

Thank you.
